Currently we can accept payment online fast methods: by PayPal, Google Checkout, Credit/Debit Cards or slow methods: Bank Wire, personal or bank cheque. The slow methods can take up to 10 days for the payment to be cleared and we reserve the right to cancel the transaction if we have suspicious doubts.
We can take order but not payment over the phone. You can phone in and order with your email, billing and delivery addresses details. Then we will send you via email an official invoice made by PayPal. You will pay that invoice with PayPal or any method that you chose. It is much secured this way and we don’t take any financial details such as card number over the phone.

We are honest in our item description, most of our second hand furniture item are carefully chosen and in excellent condition, re-furbished or re-stored recently (antique furniture). We take about 10-14 photos for each item at different angles, zoom in or close up any minor defects. Please read the description and see all the pictures carefully before buying.
No, we don’t import second hand furniture from abroad. Our items were manufactured in UK or have been used in UK for years. Most our furniture items are carefully checked for quality and complying with UK Fire and Safety Regulations 1983, 1988/89 and 1993.
Most of our items are coming from private owners. We always try our best to ask the owner for the source information and/or track down the original source. When we are not sure, we stated clearly in our item description.
Yes you can at both our storages locations: London and Leicester. We will be responsible up to the collection points. That is you or your courier will be responsible for loss or damage during shipping to the destination. We will assist wrapping to prevent scratching and help loading the items, we will charge £3.0 for these services.
It is understandable that the furniture buyers like to see it before buying. However, we are an ecommerce company and we don't have showroom for idle viewers like high street shops, nor we have personnel to handle viewing. Our storages are only for local customers to come and collect the bought items if they prefer to collect to save the delivery cost.
Having said that, under some circumstances, you can book an appointment with us to view a particular item that you are already interested. Please email enquiries@vthexpress.com to book an appointment.
We do not ship abroad currently. However, if you can arrange the shipping, we can hold bought items for you at our storages up to one month without extra charge provided you will satisfy our requirements such as written confirmation of shipping order, shipping company should have our invoices…etc. Please contact us for further info on our requirements.
Any location within M25 circle, we can deliver with our London standard £25. Typical items: table and chairs set, 3 or 2-seater sofa.
If you buy more than one item: the delivery cost is £35 for two items and £45.0 for more than two items. If your order is more than £600, you will have free delivery.
Once the payment is cleared, it will take about 3-5 working days for a London and M25 delivery, typically it takes 3 working days.
Please leave us a contact number or email when you order, our delivery team will contact you one day before the delivery date to arrange a convenient date/time for you. We won’t deliver unless we are sure that you are available to receive. For London locals, we can be flexible to deliver late after 6pm or weekend for working people.
Our delivery team is “can do” spirit people, we will try our best to set up the furniture to where it should be, re-assembly table or sofa if necessary. Please inform us any obstacles such as small doors, narrow corridor, high floor so that we come well prepared. If we don’t have enough delivery information, we reserve the right the cancel the whole transaction, you will be fully refunded.
Recently we have cooperated with third-party couriers and able to deliver outside M25, along North (M1, M6, M11), West (M3, M4, M40), South (M2, M20, M23) in the range £25-£60. Please give us your postcode and we can estimate the delivery cost more accurately. Alternatively, you can arrange your own courier and we are responsible up to collection point.
Our long distance delivery timescale is 5-7 working days once the payment is cleared. As we normally contract out to third-party couriers, the delivery cost is non-refundable in any cases.
You can buy item and pay the standard London delivery cost £20.0, we will send you a separate official invoice by PayPal for the extra cost (above standard £20.0). Under some cases, you can pay cash on delivery for the extra cost if the amount is small.
