The period for hiring is various from the minimum two days (or weekend) to the maximum period of two months.

Furniture for Hire is complicated and there are so many risk factors. We cannot let our customers handle the collection of the hired Chesterfield sofas, we will handle the delivery and collection at reasonable costs. Once the goods are installed onsite at the requested location, it is the customer’s responsibility for any loss, damage until the collection by us is completed.

Currently we are ONLY renting our chesterfield sofas to commercial companies, events organizers and are not ready for individuals.

TERMS and CONDITIONS:

DEFINITION:

“The Company” is the VTH Express Ltd.

“The Customer” is the company or any organisation to which VTH Express Ltd is contracted to supply the furniture and/or services.

“Goods” are any items that are the subject of any contract between VTH Express Ltd and the customer, regardless of ownership.

“The contract” is any written or verbal agreement between the customer and VTH Express Ltd for the latter to provide goods and/or services.

MAIN: 

1)       Hire goods remain the property of the company at all times. The Customer shall be a mere hirer of the Goods and no property in them shall pass to the Customer. The Customer shall not during the continuance of the hiring sell or offer for sale, loan, rental, sub-let, or otherwise assign the possession of the Goods. The Customer shall not interfere with, adapt or alter the Goods in any way.

2)       Any damage caused to the hired goods, beyond reasonable wear and tear, will be the responsibility of the Customer. Any repair work necessary as a result will be chargeable and the repair cost is determined by VTH Express Ltd.

3)       During the hire period, starting from time of delivery and end when the Goods are recollected from site, the Customer shall be responsible for safe-keeping and maintenance of the goods in good and substantial repair and condition.

4)       In the event of total loss, or irreparable damage for any reason whatsoever, the Customer shall be responsible to the Company for the full value of such goods plus the hire charge. It is the Customer’s responsibility to insure such risk.

5)       It is strongly advised that the Goods are to be insured by the Customer during the period of hire for perils including loss or damage by accidental fire, lightning, explosion, storm, flood, escape of water from any tank, pipe or apparatus, impact and theft. The Customer shall keep the Company indemnified against all loss and damage incurred to or by the Goods howsoever caused.

6)       The Company reserves the right to substitute alternative goods subject to availability.

7)       The Company will make every effort to the best of its ability to effect  deliveries and collections at the times requested by the Customer but will not under any circumstances accept liability for any delay or failure to deliver or collect that is beyond the Company’s control, nor for any expense caused to the Customer by such delay. Any timescale agreed by the Company is subject to weather and traffic conditions, mechanical breakdown, labour or other difficulties.

8)       It is the Customer’s responsibility to inform the company in writing of any damage or loss to the hired goods immediately so that the Company can take appropriate actions. It is the Customer’s responsibility to inform the Company in writing when hired goods are ready for collection. The hire period will not end until such collection is effected.

9)       All the hire goods from the company are second hand items that had been used by previous owners in UK for years, some items have the fire precaution labels dropped out for various reasons. It is the Customer’s responsibility to inspect each item and accept or reject the hire Goods, hence the Company will not accept under any circumstances the liability in the case of fire onsite where the Goods are installed. The Customer is responsible for any statutory requirements applicable to the Goods.

10)    Occasionally, during the hire period, the Customer shall at all reasonable times on prior written notice to the Customer's address permit the Company, its servant and agents to have access to the Goods for the purposes of inspection or repair.

11)    It is the Customer’s responsibility to keep the Goods at the address/location where installed or delivered by the Company. No Goods shall be removed from the declared hire location without written permission by the Company. No smoking shall be permitted at the installed Goods area.

12)    Initial payment, including the security deposit, to be made by cleared funds prior to the delivery date. A transport charge providing for one delivery and one collection is included in the invoice. Any cancellation or postponement without three working days notice, hindrance or interruption on the delivery or collection date will incur additional charges determined by the Company.

13)    The Customer shall pay to the Company all expenses incurred by or on behalf of the Company in ascertaining the whereabouts of or repossessing the Goods and of any legal proceedings taken by or on behalf of the Company to enforce the provisions of this agreement.

14)    The security deposit will be refunded by the Company’s cheque following the return to stock of all Goods at the conclusion or termination of the hire period provided the Goods are in clean and sound condition - suitable for re-use, as determined by the Company - and all rental charges having been paid. The Goods will be professionally repaired, cleaned and/or disposed of where necessary at the sole discretion of the Company and expense of the hirer.

15)    The above Terms and Conditions are enforceable under English Law.
