Stunning Victorian Antique Nursing Chair Refurbished.

A rare piece of antique chair for collection.

This beautiful Victorian oak leather nursing chair has a scrolled back with a beautiful turned gallery, carved to perfection. The chair stands on splayed back legs and beautiful turned reeded front legs. The chair has been newly refurbished with new webbing, springs and stuffing, using top quality English hide on the seat and piping. (The blue leather was used for the House of Commons chairs, said the owner, no proof!). There are also the new replacement pot and brass castors.

The oak is a rich warm  colour with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

Size:  H94 x L70 x D70, Seat height 37cm approx.

Condition: Recently refurbished at London Bargains. The oak wooden frame are still in strong, excellent condition.
